It might be very different from outback or true off-road driving, but Chrysler is getting very innovative in its marketing efforts to allow potential customers to experience the Jeep Trail Rating difference.
In early October, Chrysler showed what they called “Camp Jeep” at the South Florida International Auto Show. For the less affluent in the long run, Jeep staged a driving show to give test drivers the real-world experience of driving an off-road Jeep. It was no small feat for Jeep. To build their course at the Miami Beach Convention Center, they had to haul over 220 yards of mulch and spend nearly six days developing the obstacle course. The trail featured a water hazard and 18-foot “hill”, as well as other maneuverability challenges. Anything to show potential customers what a Jeep can do on the trails.
As if that weren’t enough, Chrysler is doing better at its next “Full Speed Test Drive Event” at Wild Rivers Water Park in Irvine, CA (Los Angeles area) this Saturday (May 28) and Sunday (October 29) ). Chrysler will showcase its full range of vehicles in three different specialty courses, one of which will be a 4×4 Off-Road Adventure Course. Consumers will have the opportunity to experience the off-road capabilities of Chrysler’s Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and Commander on the route.
This event runs from 9am to 5pm. Every day from 5pm to 5pm and it’s free. food and drinks will be provided. Interested parties are encouraged to pre-register for a Saturday or Sunday general arrival time by calling 888-809-7088 or by visiting rededrivewin dot com. No prior registration is required to participate. You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving license to participate in the test drives.
Is it worth building these artificial obstacle courses? Chrysler must think so, and some marketing studies seem to indicate that it does. According to market research, 40% of visitors to this type of auto show purchase a vehicle within one year of the event. themselves how they feel on the trails. We look forward to further marketing innovations from Chrysler as they strive to further enhance their off-road image.
